Cork Orienteering Club would like to acknowledge the very co-operative support, both logistical & financial, of Bord Gais Energy for allowing access to the Day1 area of Kilgarvan Wind Farm.  Without their support, it would not have been possible to provide an exciting opportunity for our competitors to run on the challenging & spectacular terrain high up on the Black Lakes at this year's Shamrock O-Ringen.

Entries for the competition have now closed. CorkO are delighted to welcome 279 competitors to the 18th Shamrock O-Ringen 3-Day, with a large number of international visitors from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden and the UK competing.

Information on this website will be updated regularly over the next 10 days with final information & start times due to be posted by Thursday 23rd of May.

Advance Warning:

Day1 will have very specific travel & safety instructions to comply with.  It is CRITICAL that you take note of these when published (failure to do so will mean automatic disqualification and a Garda (police) prosecution).  Day 1 start times will be between 13:00 - 15:00 hrs, but you will need to be accessing the area at least 1 hour before your start time - there is a 30 minute drive (at 20kmph) once you leave the public highway to get to the assembly area and further time to walk to the start.

Please reckon this into your traveling arrangements if driving long distances to the event area on the Saturday morning.
